Having Fellowship in Manhattan

I was hanging with some of BYG members in Manhattan. 

The purpose of being there was to get closer to them through having fellowship with movie. Movie was not good, but singing at 노래방 and having lunch at 35가 효동각 was good with them. 

I met Abe Cho at station by accident. He looked good. 

도일, 광식

도일 전도사와 광식 전도사는 고든콘웰에서 만난 동갑 친구들이다. 

동갑내기 만나기 힘든데 좋은 동역자 친구들을 만나 어제 오랜만에 식사를 했다. 

어제부터 광식이 형과도 말을 놓기 시작하면서 이제 친구가 되는 것 같다. 

다들 어렵게 공부하며 자수성가 하는 친구들...

지금은 좀 어렵지만 하나님께서 지금 귀하게 훈련 시키시고

앞으로 크게 쓰임 받는 사역자들이 되기를 기도한다. 

사역은 축복이고 사랑...

한주 한주가 흘러 가면서 

조금씩 아이들 알아가고 

설교도 좀 재밌게 하려고 보니까 

자연히 ice-breaking 되어가구... 

유머감각을 표현하기는 영어가 좀 딸리구... 

아무튼 고민이다. 아이들 마음밭이 좋구 

사랑을 받을 준비가 되어있는 아이들이구 

youth group 이다. 

첫 사역지는 사역에 대해 아무것도 모르고 

그냥 영어하면서 아이들과 어울리는게 다 였는데 

이제야 사역의 감각을 잡아가고 사역의 재미를 느껴가고 있다. 

정말 사역은 축복이구 사랑이다... 

날 이 귀한 자리에 놓으신 하나님께 감사드린다... 

이번 주일 설교 또 고민해야 겠네... the Life...

이번주 설교...

첫 설교를 the way 란 타이틀로 했다.

갑자기 사모님이 부탁해서 토요일 저녁에 3시간 동안
고민하면서 준비했는데 감사하게 하나님께서 딜리버리 해 주셨다.

이번주 설교...

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

hm... How am i going to make a delivery in association with the way?

I would like to preach with the title, "the Truth" this Sunday. But it has to be a match to the sentence and the issue of the statement that Jesus is saying to doubtful disciples. Truth... the word of God... Jesus... what else (what other words) can be supporting the issue of truth?

God, give me an idea! Let me keep on pondering the issue of truth in association with the way and the life this week.

A New Year, A New Ministry @ BYG

2009년 새해가 시작되었고 "뉴욕베델교회"에서

다시 중고등부 사역을 시작하게 되었다.

그동안 인도하심이 하나님의 계획안에 있었고

담임목사님, 사모님 그리고 부역자들,

중고등부 아이들과 선생님들 모두가 첫인상이 좋았고

좋은 사람들이라 너무 감사하다.

사역적으로도 STEP BY STEP 하기에 좋은 환경이고

나 자신도 잘 준비되며 성장할 수 있는 좋은 교회를

주셔서 감사하다.

사역은 축복이다. 그 자리에 있는 것 자체가

감사고 축복이다. 이제 아이들에게 사랑을

많이 주고 예수님의 모습을 보여주는 그런

JDSN 이 되어야 겠다.

난 사역해야 행복하다는 걸 어제 느꼈다.

어쩔 수 없다... 난 사역의 길을 가야 행복한 사람이다.

기도 더 열심히 하고 묵상 더 열심히 해야지...

Craig Groeschel 목사님 말씀은 아주 간결하면서
적용하기 쉽고 도전을 준다. 그리고 practical 하다.

말씀의 능력은 정말 놀랍다!

열정이 넘치고 유머가 함께 하기에
젊은이들이 좋아하는 것 같다.
케주얼하고 현대적인 예배 분위기..
그래서 편한 것 같다.

말씀에 대한 확신, 헌신적인 준비 그리고 열정적인 선포...

세대의 문제와 영적인 상태를 바라보는 통찰력과 열정적인 딜리버리...

말씀의 능력은 너무나 놀랍다. 매일 가게 되고 목사님을 통해 은혜를 주시는 성령님...

These days i am getting back into the power of the Word of God. I have been way too far away from it. I fall in love with the messages of Rev. Craig Groeschel from Lifechurch.tv. His word is really easy to take and swallow. Its also practical.

Its true that the church makes men a nice guy. There are more faithful girls than boys. Being a godly man is more than just being a nice, gentle man to others. Godly men should take the chance and risk to serve the Lord. They should take the cause of the cross for being a strong man. One thing that i really realize is to train myself to be a stronger man of God. I won't be just a nice man 착하고 선한 크리스천 who is not willing to take risk. I strongly feel to put myself into a situation in which i am out of my comfort, safe zone.

정말... 강한 용사가 되자. 강하게 일어나자! 연약해 지지 말고 강하고 신실한 남자가 되자! 하나님의 부르심과 인도하심에 강하고 능동적이고 열정적으로 반응하는 강한 용사가 되자!

은혜를 주는 찬양 - How He Loves

요즘 내가 제일 좋아하고 즐겨 듣고 은혜 제일 많이 받는 찬양이다.

이 찬양의 가사를 듣고 있으면
하나님의 사랑이 얼마나 크게 다가오는지를 느낄 수 있다.

Characteristics of the Great Old Testament Revivals
구약 부흥의 9가지 특징

1. Most revivals were preceded by a time of deep spiritual decline and despair.
2. Each of these revivals began in the heart of one of God’s servants, who then became the instrument in God’s hands to stir up the sleeping consciences of God’s people.
3. This leads nicely into the third characteristic. Every revival in the OT rested solidly on a new and powerful proclamation of the word of God.
4. Each revival was marked by a return to the genuine worship of Yahweh.
5. A destruction of every idol that blocked the rightful acknowledgment of Yahweh as the only true and living God.
6. There was a deep sense of sin and an overpowering desire to separate themselves from it and from all its sponsoring causes.
7. In every revival in the OT period there was likewise a return to the offering of blood sacrifices.
8. The experience of a new sense of unbounded joy and exuberant gladness.
9. Each revival was followed by a time of great productivity and prosperity.

2. 각 부흥은 하나님 종들의 마음에서 시작되었는데, 그들은 하나님의 백성들이 영적으로 잠자고 있는 상태를 뒤흔드는 하나님의 도구들이었다.

4. 모든 부흥은 여호와 하나님께 신실한 예배로 돌아가는 역사에 의해 진행되었다.
5. 여호와 하나님을 살아있는 유일한 하나님으로 인식하게 방해하는 모든 우상의 파멸에서 시작되었다.
6. 죄에 대한 깊은 자각과 죄를 짖게 하는 모든 원인으로부터 구별되려는 강한열망이 있었다.
7. 구약의 모든 부흥에는 blood sacrifice 로의 복귀, 회귀현상이 있었다.
8. 묶이지 않는 진정한 기쁨과 극도의 희열이 있었다.
9. 모든 부흥 뒤에 큰 축복과 번영의 시대가 따라왔다.
